In a significant move towards strengthening international cybersecurity cooperation, PhantomCloud Communication, the company behind the innovative Phantosys solution, has joined a consortium of Dutch and Taiwanese organizations in signing a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This historic event took place at the prestigious ONE Conference 2024, marking a new era of collaboration between two global innovation powerhouses.
A Meeting of Cyber Minds
The MoU signing ceremony, witnessed by representatives from Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) and the Netherlands’ Ministry of Economic Affairs (EA), brought together eight partners from both nations. Among these, PhantomCloud stands proud as a key player in this international alliance.
Other notable signatories include: CFLW Cyber Strategies, Security Delta (HSD), Keypasco Europe, Lydsec Digital Technology, Chelpis Quantum, Jmem Technology, Turing Space
Strengthening Digital Defenses
This collaboration comes at a crucial time when the borderless nature of cyberspace demands robust international partnerships. Both the Netherlands and Taiwan, recognized worldwide for their strong semiconductor industries and highly developed digital ecosystems, bring essential cybersecurity needs and cutting-edge offerings to the table.
Astor Zhuang, Assistant Director of the Administration of Digital Industry, MODA Taiwan, emphasized the significance of this alliance: “This partnership marks a significant step in strengthening the nations’ digital security efforts and fostering mutual trust. Both countries, as global leaders in innovation, will exchange insights into each other’s digital ecosystems, unlocking new opportunities for joint development.”
PhantomCloud's Role in the Alliance
As the company behind Phantosys, PhantomCloud’s participation in this consortium underscores its commitment to advancing global cybersecurity standards. The Phantosys solution, known for its innovative approach to digital security particularly data protection, is expected to play a crucial role in the collaborative efforts outlined in the MoU. This emphasis on data protection aligns perfectly with the growing need for robust security measures in an increasingly interconnected digital landscape.
Looking Ahead: A Multi-Year Commitment
The signing of this MoU is just the beginning. The consortium plans to develop a multi-year programme to guide long-term collaboration and pave the way for further growth in digital security. This sustainable partnership promises mutual benefits for both countries and opens up exciting possibilities for companies like PhantomCloud to expand their reach and impact.
Joris den Bruinen, General Director of Security Delta (HSD), shared his optimism about the future of this collaboration: “We expect the consortium to grow further in the coming months with more HSD partners to make an impact together.”
The Bigger Picture: SECPAAS and Beyond
The MoU signing is part of the broader Security Platform as a Service (SECPAAS) mission during the Cybersecurity Week of the Netherlands in The Hague. This program, supported by MODA Taiwan and managed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), aims to help Taiwanese cybersecurity companies, including PhantomCloud, access the European market through the HSD Campus.
As we at PhantomCloud look to the future, we’re excited about the possibilities this Dutch-Taiwanese alliance brings. By combining Taiwan’s strengths in cybersecurity, IoT, and AI with the Netherlands’ position as a digital innovation hub in Europe, we’re poised to make significant strides in creating a safer digital world.
